Our photo canvas prints are produced on our state of the art photo production machines, running genuine 100+ year rated archival inks, that are fully calibrated for true colour accuracy.

For best possible results, photos/files uploaded for printing should be a minimum of 300dpi.

Optional upgrade

Our canvas prints are supplied in their natural finish, though offer varnish protection as an optional upgrade. Our cotton canvas has an elegant natural finish that makes it the high quality canvas that it is. However, if you choose to have our varnish protection, it does have many key benefits. Varnish adds an added layer of protection to your print, ensuring it's easy to clean and handle without leaving fingerprints. Matte finish keeps the colours muted while adding protection. Satin and gloss varnishes will increase contrast, so your prints will be substantially more vibrant, giving that colour pop feel. Though the varnish is key to superior protection of the print, it will change how the end product looks, depending on choice of varnish. Over 80% of our customers prefer the natural cotton canvas without any varnish protection.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

The most critical advice we can give, is to ensure the photo/artwork you provide is the largest size available. For best results send files that are a minimum 300dpi.

Don't worry, we ensure every file received is suitable for printing and advise on any issues before going ahead with printing. Any issues with the file will mean a delay in producing your order until either rectified or given the go ahead to proceed by the customer.

Orientation

The orientation of your canvas print will be based on the file received, unless otherwise and expressly agreed.

If you send a portrait image, we will produce a portrait canvas.

If you wish to send a portrait and have it made landscape (or vice versa): you MUST state this at time of placing your order (in notes section at checkout) cropping WILL occur so artwork approval will be required in order to proceed with printing.

Colour or Black & White

The colour of your canvas print will be based on the file received, unless otherwise and expressly agreed.

If you send a colour image but require a black & white canvas: you MUST state this at time of placing your order (in notes section at checkout) artwork approval will be required in order to proceed with printing.

Slim fit canvas prints are 18mm in depth. This requires around 1.5" of the photo to be wrapped around the sides.

Gallery canvas prints are 38mm in depth. This requires around 2.5" of the photo to be wrapped around the sides.

Options

Canvas Edge - 3 available options

Canvas Wrap (standard) - This is the option we will normally aim for if the image provided allows. A canvas wrap simply means your image is wrapped around the sides of the canvas. This option is not suitable if there are important parts of the image (faces, etc) near the edges, as they will be wrapped around the sides.
Mirror Wrap - This option is an alternative for photos that don't fit on a canvas wrap. To retain the full image on the front of the canvas, we will mirror the edge of the photo and apply to each side of the canvas.
White Edge - This option is an alternative for photos that don't fit on a canvas wrap. To retain the full image on the front of the canvas and stops at the edges. You can request any colour on the edge though white is, by far, the most popular. Ideal for artwork reproductions.

Varnish protection

No varnish required - leaves the cotton canvas in it's pure natural state which over 85% of our customers prefer
Matte varnish protection. Gives muted colours and a layer of protection across the whole canvas
Satin varnish protection - substantially increases contrast of the print, colours pop more and the blacks are deeper. Completely alters the look of the end product while giving protection across the whole canvas.

DO NOT send us screenshots - send the actual photo not a screenshot of it!

As everyone should be aware, a screenshot is not a photograph. It was not created using a camera or lens. It's simply a snippet from a narrow mobile device that captures a low resolution copy of the whole screen for reference - NOT for printing.

A digital photograph is made up of data, a screenshot does not contain any data from the photo - only a visual snippet of it.

Using images from social media sites

Any image taken or sent from ANY social media platform will be LOW RESOLUTION. This has a detrimental impact on print quality. All Websites/Apps compress and heavily reduce the quality of files deliberately to make them easy and quick to send and load. Good for Websites, bad for printing.

This includes: Websites, FaceBook, SnapChat, WhatsApp, SMS, Twitter, Instagram and so on.

Did we mention ... DO NOT SEND SCREENSHOTS!!!!! You need to send the actual digital photo not a screenshot of it!

Production times

All canvas prints are normally ready to ship within 24 hours of placing your order. Excludes weekends and bank holidays.

If the file received is ready to print, without issues, production normally starts within 15 mins of your order being received. (during working hours)

All orders are normally sent out within 24 hours of being produced. Excludes weekends and bank holidays.

Delivery options

We offer the following delivery options at checkout:

Click and Collect - to collect from our Shotts based print shop during working hours. Please do not travel until you receive notification that your order is ready to collect.
Fast local delivery - charged at £2.50 per order. Delivery is for evenings only. Includes areas in West Lothian, Falkirk and North Lanarkshire. An estimated time slot is provided so you know when to expect us.
Royal Mail/Courier - charged at cost price plus packing

White label shipping is available to our photography and artist clients. We can fulfil your orders from start to finish on your behalf.
