XP Print and sister site, Xpression Photography, are owned and managed by Livi Media Ltd.
The story so far
As a sports & events photographer, having access to the highest possible quality printing is a must!
We tried all different avenues, including the big named high street photography print stores but the quality, price and turnaround was always very poor.
You wont believe how hard it is to find a photo print store that actually offers cotton canvas! The majority offer plastic polyester "canvas" which is an eyesore in any home.
Most canvas producers even print using the wrong inks and machines. Full solvent canvas prints and those produced using latex is not my idea of a quality print to show off my photos properly.
So, we bit the bullet and bought a photo printer to do some of the work in-house. This gave us far better control of using the grade of papers and canvas that would suit our photos.
This came with it's own challenges and steep learning curves from which printer to buy and how to work out the best quality medias worth using.
Buying a printer does not make you a printer!
Then came the need for colour calibration of screens, printers, scanners and media.
Fast forward to today, we proudly own multiple large format fine art photo production machines plus a latex machine (Latex not for photo related work)
It's been a hard old graft to get here but it's all been a great experience for us. Not been easily financially, especially recently but we are still here!
Who we supply
We now supply photographers and artists all across the Country. They refuse to go anywhere else!
Our shop, based in central Scotland, caters for everyone between Edinburgh and Glasgow for all their printing needs.
Our Website means we can reach out across the UK and offer our services to everyone.
Until recently, everything has been offered via our photography website though it was not designed to deal with the demand.
It done the job well but our new site, XP Print, will make the whole ordering process far easier for everyone as it's dedicated to the printing.
